Beautiful knockers

Wandering around the world I see the most gorgeous door knockers.  Here are some I caught on camera.

a fierce face at Lake Como

somewhere in Paris

an elaborate example in Florence

This poor little chap looks very worried.  You would need to be careful not to knock to hard.

in lovely Lucca

This one, on the other hand, I think is offering a challenge to give his knocker a good, hard whack.

another cranky face at Varenna

I love the colour of this door in Rome

my favourite - a little frog

I will carry on with my door knocker search on my next trip.  I leave Brisbane on Sunday for lovely Bagni di Lucca, with stops in Hong Kong, Helsinki and Rome on the way.

  4. You make the small everyday items look exciting, Deb. The worried one made me laugh!

What about doorbells and letterboxes? I saw some really quirky letterboxes in USA.
