Where’s Mr. Tumnus?

Responses

  1. Click on the reblogged bit to see the post in the proper order. This is what Ponte a Serraglio looks like right now! I will be there next week. I hope there is some snow left.

    • Lucky you , going to Bagni di Lucca in a week.
My only consolation is that when we go in October, we will be able to go for some nice long walks in the mountains.
      Have a great trip.

      • I will be there for more than 3 months so I will see the end of winter and glorious spring.

  2. We love snow too but we are in a deep frost now with minus 26 overnight lows and tops of minus 10 degrees. Bagni weather is similar to ours so I hope all the lovely locals are rugging up and drinking lots of Grappa! Stay warm! BBBrrrrrrrrrr……….

    • For me snow is a novelty. It is hot and steamy here in Brisbane, I am looking forward to some cold weather.

  3. it is very nice to look at, but not very easy to deal with

    • I’m sure it can be a nuisance, but it does look pretty.

  4. It is really cold throughout most of Europe at the moment. In Northern Spain we are the last ones to get this Siberian cold front, but we also are enduring below zero temperatures. I am staying home…
The photos look great. I guess that our neighbours are going to post some for us as they did last year.
I feel sorry for the homeless and for those who cannot afford proper heating. More than 90 people have already died as a result of this weather.

    • I will be in Helsinki next week and it is going to be very cold.

  5. The village looks beautiful with its dusting of snow.

    • It is fairly unusual to have this much snow in Bagni di Lucca. It only happens every few years.

  6. What a beautiful view… Actually all seasons your view from the windows are so beautiful. Thank you, have a nice and enjoyable day, with my love, nia

    • I love the winter! I hope the snow lasts until I get there.

  7. I love snow, and miss it so far this winter. Love this window into winter. Thanks, Deb!
    Hugs,
    Kathy

    • The village looks gorgeous covered with snow. It happens rarely.

  8. You have more snow than we do in Toronto. So unusual to have such warm weather at this time of year. Missing the snow and skiing. Thanks for sharing!

    • It has been fairly mild until now in the village. Now the temperature extremely cold.

  9. Looks so beautiful in snow…

    • I hope it lasts a while.

  10. So beautiful!! Bellissima!

    • The people in the village don’t like the snow because it is a nuisance, but I love it.

  11. Snow always looks so beautiful and fantasy-like (well for me who has grown up in sunny Australia 😛 )

    • I love the village covered in snow. I can’t wait to get there.

  12. How beautiful! Could we please have Christmas lights too – then that would be just heaven. I think it’s Mr Tumnus who tells the children that in Narnia, because of the White Witch, it’s always winter and never Christmas “Imagine that” he says!! Isn’t that snowman lovely?

    • I love the snowman. It is a pity his head fell off.

  13. Thanks for re-blogging this Debra. I’m glad people have enoyed seeing our snow. It’s still in the minus today so it hasn’t melted yet, though the sun is trying to come out right now. Have had to deal with it and do rather a lot with shovels today, rather than just look at it admiringly, so now I’m not loving it quite as much!

    • I’m sure it is hard work. Just as well it doesn’t happen very often.

  14. I’m sure I saw a little hoof print… Mr Tumnus is sure to be there.
    Stunning snow!

  15. OMG!!!! Can’t believe that it got that much snow! We were told don’t worry about the snow nothing sticks to the ground!!! Wow looks beautiful and cold!

    • It doesn’t snow very often in Ponte a Serraglio. It has only happened about 4 times since we have been going.
