Lucky you , going to Bagni di Lucca in a week.
My only consolation is that when we go in October, we will be able to go for some nice long walks in the mountains.

We love snow too but we are in a deep frost now with minus 26 overnight lows and tops of minus 10 degrees. Bagni weather is similar to ours so I hope all the lovely locals are rugging up and drinking lots of Grappa! Stay warm! BBBrrrrrrrrrr……….

It is really cold throughout most of Europe at the moment. In Northern Spain we are the last ones to get this Siberian cold front, but we also are enduring below zero temperatures. I am staying home…
The photos look great. I guess that our neighbours are going to post some for us as they did last year.
I feel sorry for the homeless and for those who cannot afford proper heating. More than 90 people have already died as a result of this weather.

It is fairly unusual to have this much snow in Bagni di Lucca. It only happens every few years.

How beautiful! Could we please have Christmas lights too – then that would be just heaven. I think it’s Mr Tumnus who tells the children that in Narnia, because of the White Witch, it’s always winter and never Christmas “Imagine that” he says!! Isn’t that snowman lovely?

Thanks for re-blogging this Debra. I’m glad people have enoyed seeing our snow. It’s still in the minus today so it hasn’t melted yet, though the sun is trying to come out right now. Have had to deal with it and do rather a lot with shovels today, rather than just look at it admiringly, so now I’m not loving it quite as much!

It doesn’t snow very often in Ponte a Serraglio. It has only happened about 4 times since we have been going.
